Load Forecasting SO_OP3710

The purpose of this procedure is to provide AEMO operations staff with information related to load forecasting for the National Electricity Market. The procedure outlines AEMO's responsibility to load forecasting, the load forecasting methodology adopted by AEMO and the IT systems developed to assist operations staff.

Future developments of this procedure may include the medium term forecasting methodology, the 10%, 50% and 90% scaling factors and long term mean temperature data.

The South Australian and New South Wales regional scaling factors are now included and the short term forecasting process has been updated to include peer review.

Change from the previous version includes:

• Sections 5 (deleted), 6, 11.1 (deleted), and 12 modified due to DFS Project
