Confidence Levels, Offsets & Operating Margins

The Operations Planning Working Group (OPWG) is comprised of members from each of the Transmission Network Service Providers and AEMO staff. One of the tasks undertaken by this group has been to consider who should be responsible for the determination of confidence levels, offsets and operating margins, and the factors that should be considered when calculating these values.

The OPWG has developed a policy document covering these issues which is attached. The TNSPs and AEMO will, in future, be using this document as the template for applying confidence levels, offsets and operating margins to limit advice and constraint equations.
