The National Electricity Market (NEM) systems and operational procedures require the definition and usage of many different types of regional demand. The purpose of this report is to describe these different demand definitions, as well as the various system variables used to determine the various demands.
The various demands that have been discussed in detail are Total Demand, Operational Demand, ResDemand, Demand, Demand10, Demand90 and Demand50. The system variables, that fully explain these demands, have also been explained in this document and they are, Initial Supply, Cleared Supply, Demand Forecast and Regional Energy Balance.
