Meter churn is where one or more devices at a metering installation are to be replaced when the financially responsible Market Participant (FRMP) or one or more Service Providers change.
The objective of the Meter Churn Guidelines is to provide advice for the new FRMP to consider in managing the alteration of a metering installation.
This document is published in accordance with Rule clause 7.3.4 (j) for the financially responsible Market Participant to consider and manage meter churn consistently within the National Electricity Market.
