EnergyAustralia has identified that there are emerging distribution network capacity issues in the Port Stephens area and that corrective action will be required in the future to maintain the technical and service requirements of Schedule 5.1 of the National Electricity Rules.
EnergyAustralia has issued a Distribution Network Consultation Paper – “Development of Tomago Zone Substation”. The paper has been prepared as a basis for consultation with registered participants and interested parties (in accordance with Clause 5.6.2(f) of the National Electricity Rules) on possible options to address the projected limitation of the distribution system in this area.
The Consultation Paper is published on the EnergyAustralia website. Submissions on the Consultation Paper are invited and should be lodged by 3rd May 2010.
