AEMO is conducting a staged review of the operation and design of the Short Term Trading Market (STTM), STTM demand hubs and adequacy of short and medium term gas market information across the eastern seaboard.
Taking into account stakeholder feedback to date, AEMO has released its draft considerations. The following reports have been released for stakeholder consultation.
AEMO is inviting comment on the Draft Reports by 3 February 2012.

STTM Phase 1 Review Presentation
ON August 30 2011, AEMO held a workshop describing the broad process that would be undertaken through the STTM reviews.

Workshops
Following a review of the submissions received in response to the STTM Reviews Phase 1 Discussion Paper, AEMO received a wide spectrum of positions from industry with some degrees of similarity. As part of consolidating the comments and developing a consistent view, AEMO is holding workshops during November and December 2011.
The information circulated to participants for these workshops and notes from the workshops have been posted here.
Overview and Timetable
In addition to the public consultation process, AEMO will engage directly with stakeholders throughout the review at its consultative forums and on a one-to-one basis as needed.
AEMO aims to complete this review by producing a final report setting out its recommendations by 31 March 2012.
The implementation of any proposed recommendations or progression of issues arising from this review will be outlined in the final report.
