Market Operator Service (MOS)

Request for MOS increase offers and MOS decrease offers

AEMO is requesting MOS increase offers and MOS decrease offers from eligible contract holders for each STTM pipeline for MOS period starting on 1 June 2012 and ending on 31 August 2012.

MOS increase offers and MOS decrease offers will be accepted for this MOS period until: 5:00pm Australian Eastern Standard Time on 11 May 2012.

Intending MOS providers should note the process and rules that AEMO will follow in validating submissions are described in:

The MOS estimate required under rule 397(1) of the National Gas Rules ('NGR') for the MOS period is:

• MOS estimates for MOS period 1 June 2012 to 31 August 2012 
• Supporting data for MOS estimates for the period 1 June 2012 to 31 August 2012  

An eligible contract holder must comply with the requirements of rule 399 and rule 400 of the NGR in respect of its MOS increase offer or MOS decrease offer.

The MOS stack for the MOS period beginning 1 June 2012 will be published no later than 18 May 2012.

MOS periods

As required under rule 396 of the NGR, the MOS periods are as follows:

• Start on 1 March and end on 31 May
• Start on 1 June and end on 31 August
• Start on 1 September and end on 30 November
• Start on 1 December and end on the last day in February
