In accordance with clause 7.2.4A of the Rules, AEMO is required to publish a list of the connection points that exhibit special site or technology related conditions (Special Site).
These special site or technology related connection points are associated with transmission, interconnector, Market Generator or cross boundary connection points whichhave a complexity of metrology. These connection points by their nature require the engagement of a Meter Data Provider who has a system capability in support of the ‘Special Site’ metering data collection and processing requirements.
AEMO nominates that all metering installations pertaining to any transmission, interconnector, Market Generator or cross boundary connection point, as identified in the published list by respective TNI code or Connection Point ID, is classified as being a Special Site.
This document will be reviewed by AEMO under clause 7.2.4A (b) as required and in support of any new or changed connection point registrations pertaining to Special Sites.
