This notice informs all Registered Participants, Intending Participants and interested parties that AEMO is conducting a consultation to amend the Methodology for calculation of Forward Looking Transmission Loss Factors to establish the criteria for which dual transmission loss factors, also known as Marginal Loss Factors (MLFs) would be determined and applied at a transmission network connection point.

This consultation is being conducted under clause 3.6.2(d) of the National Electricity Rules in accordance with the Rules consultation requirements detailed in clause 8.9 of the Rules.

This consultation is being conducted in parallel with a Rule change consultation currently being undertaken by the AEMC on a rule change proposed by AEMO to allow the application of dual MLFs at a transmission network connection point.

Any queries should be directed to Keng Loh at keng.loh@aemo.com.au.
