System Restart Ancillary Services (SRAS)

AEMO has consulted and published the following SRAS Documents in accordance with the National Electricity Rules (Rules):

    1. SRAS Assessment Guidelines: The SRAS Assessment Guidelines is used to demonstrate that there is a reasonable degree of certainty that a facility is capable of delivering the relevant system restart ancillary service if required to do so.
    2. Boundaries of Electrical Sub-Networks: The Boundaries of electrical Sub-networks is used to demonstrate how the power system is divided into electrical sub-networks for the purpose of acquiring the system restart ancillary services and implementing the system restart plans.
    3. SRAS Description: The SRAS Description defines primary and secondary system restart services and identifies the technical and availability requirements of each type of service.
    4. SRAS Quantity Guidelines: The SRAS Quantity Guidelines is used to determine the number, type and location of the system restart ancillary services required to be procured for each electrical sub-network consistent with the interim system restart standard determined by AEMO.
    5. SRAS Tender Guidelines: The SRAS Tender Guidelines defines the framework that AEMO uses to procure system restart services in the National Electricity Market.
      • SRAS Expression of Interest: The SRAS Expression of Interest template used for the request of EOI’s in the NEM for evaluation and acceptance of EOI’s by AEMO.
      • SRAS Invitation to Tender: The SRAS Invitation to Tender template used for inviting the tenders with suitable technical capabilities to submit the tenders for evaluation by AEMO.
      • SRAS Agreement: The SRAS Agreement template used for the contractual agreement between AEMO and the successful tender for the agreed system restart ancillary service.
