Network Support and Control Ancillary Services Tender Guidelines

AEMO would like to inform all National Electricity Market Rules Participants, Intending Participants and interested parties that AEMO has concluded the consultation on NMAS tender guidelines in respect of network support and control ancillary services (NSCAS Tender Guidelines).

This consultation reviews the NSCAS Tender Guidelines in light of several years experience of procuring Network Control Ancillary Services (NCAS), and to reflect the National Electricity Amendment (Network Support and Control Ancillary Services) Rule 2011 No.2. In particular, AEMO’s role from commencement of the rule on 5 April 2012 will be to act as NSCAS procurer of last resort.

This consultation was conducted under clause 3.11.5(b) of the National Electricity Rules (Rules) in accordance with the Rules consultation requirements detailed in clause 8.9 of the Rules.
