The MT PASA process is run at least once per week and provides a reserve forecast for the next two years. The graphs below provide a summary of the latest MTPASA results for the next twelve months for QLD, NSW, VIC, SA and TAS regions. These graphs are updated after each release of the public MTPASA results.
In accordance with the Rules definition of "PASA availability" the MT PASA process only considers the availability of generation that can be made available within 24 hours. In some circumstances there can be plant that is available in slightly longer than 24 hours that is not included in the MT PASA assessment but can still make a contribution to the system reserves.
The MT PASA results are based on the 10% probability of exceedence demand forecasts provided by the jurisdictional planning bodies and used in the ESOO.
