Title: 2007 Review of Energy Price Limits

Background
In accordance with the Market Rules, the IMO commissioned a review of the Energy Price Limits for the Wholesale Electricity Market in the South West interconnected system. An independent consultant, McLennan Magasanik Associates (MMA) was engaged to assist the IMO with:
- reviewing the requirements and the prescribed methodology of the Market Rules;
- revising the maximum prices by conducting an analysis of the relevant costs; and
- the preparation of a draft report.

Approval of 2007 Energy Price Limits
On 17 October 2007, the IMO’s Final Report was submitted to the Economic Regulation Authority for approval pursuant to clause 6.20.10 of the Market Rules.The Economic Regulation Authority approved the IMO’s Final Report on 19 October 2007.
