AEMO’s formal consultation, the Planning Studies 2015 Consultation, incorporates the 2015 NTNDP consultation, and a number of other AEMO proposals for 2015 planning activities.
2013 Planning Assumptions
The 2013 assumptions and inputs used for AEMO’s National Transmission Network Development Plan (NTNDP), Gas Statement of Opportunities (GSOO), Electricity Statement of Opportunities (ESOO), Victorian Annual Planning Report (VAPR) and South Australian Advisory Function reports are provided below
The generation information page reports information on the capacity of existing, committed and proposed generation projects within the NEM.
Maps and Diagrams
AEMO’s planning publications are supported by a series of interactive maps and line diagrams that provide a variety of different resources, from maps of the National Electricity Market’s transmission network and region boundaries to a topological representation of Victorian gas transmission.
Assessing Reserve Adequacy in the NEM
This document describes aspects of power system reliability, with a specific focus on the calculation and application of minimum reserve levels (MRLs). MRLs form the basis of AEMO’s operational and long-term planning assessments of system reliability, and are produced using a complex set of market simulations.
Wind Integration Investigation
AEMO has published three international studies commissioned to look at world’s best practice and understand how well placed the national electricity market is to accommodate the large scale introduction of wind energy.
Economic Planning Study Report
This report presents the methodology and findings of a quantitative analysis comparing the difference in investment timing outcomes when using deterministic planning standards or an economic cost-benefit approach to transmission planning.
The following reports contain the demand forecasts for point of connection within the Victorian transmission network.
