aseXML Standards

aseXML is a standard developed by Australian energy industries to facilitate the exchange of information between participants of the energy industries using XML. The aseXML Standards Working Group (ASWG) is responsible for the development and maintenance of the aseXML standard.

Working Group

For more information on this working group please see the aseXML Standards Working Group (ASWG)

Guidelines

Guidelines for the Development of A Standard for Energy Transactions in XML (aseXML) provide guidance and advice to parties who are designing aseXML documents for use within their industry. Please review our aseXML Guidelines for further information.

Schemas

The aseXML schema consists of a number of individual files that must be combined to form the entire schema. The top level file is aseXML_*.xsd - where * is a specific schema release number - and all other files are incorporated by way of the W3C "include" mechanism in this file. For more information regarding the structure of the aseXML schema refer to the "Guidelines for AseXML".  Please review the aseXML Schemas page for current and previous releases.

Sample Files

Sample aseXML documents for current or previous releases are published on this site if provided by the relevant parties. Please review our aseXML Samples page.

Change Process

Changes to the aseXML Guidelines and aseXML Schemas are initiated and progressed using the aseXML Change Process. Please review our aseXML Change Process  page to review Change Process documentation and Change Request templates.

Please review our whitepapers and other drafts  to access further aseXML documentation and papers.
