On 7 April 2011 the Australian Energy Market Commission published Rule 2011 No. 21 in relation to Network Support and Control Ancillary Services (NSCAS). This rule commences operation on 5 April 2012 and requires each Network Service Provider to provide to AEMO details in relation to any NSCAS acquired by the Network Service Provider under a Network Support Agreement.
